And the process has begun! The countdown to the festival is underway, and time seems to be flying by. Here are my two major highlights from the past few weeks.
Casting was incredibly exciting. It’s something I have done at University before, but was great to see done in a more professional setting. It was really interesting watching the way Pass’s director Andrew worked, and how he got the actors to engage with the text and the characters.
Last Thursday saw the Media Launch, and what an amazing evening it was. It was such a pleasure to see all of this year’s plays come to life, as well as catch up with the FITD team. The lovely Sophie filmed the event, which I gave her a hand with. She taught me some new things such as how to hold a boom (a big fluffy microphone) correctly, and what a voxpop is! What a fantastic lady, I would love to work with her again.
And of course, my main role within the Pass team is looking after their social media. I have always found social media rather intimidating, however, I think I have perhaps started to get the hang of it (I think). I am looking forward to the next few weeks when the preparations for the festival really start to heat up!
