24:7 & You Are Here collaboration project 2014

A unique collaboration between two writers on opposite sides of the world.

Taking as their theme the 100th anniversary of the beginning of World War 1, two writers, one from Australia and one from the UK, are working together via Skype, email etc to produce a new 45 minute piece, exploring the different sides of the First World War and the impact it had on both Great Britain and Australia.

Emma Gibson is a writer and performer from Canberra whose plays have been performed across Australia and in Sweden and the USA. Rob Johnston, who has had 3 previous plays at 24:7 (Now Breathe Out, Taking Stock and Human Habitation), is a prolific playwright from the North West.

Together, they will be sharing the writing process, from initial stages through to finished performance during festival week.
